“This is a ‘Beast’ of a show,” said Liz Bealko who is directing her fourth musical in Henryetta. “Our performers have been working hard to make this an exciting event, Many of them are doing something new and they are really stepping up to the task”
The musical is the largest and most elaborate yet for the Henryetta students. Because the production rights are so expensive, the students have been holding several fundraising events.
They have been aided by the Henryetta Education Foundation with a $2,500 donation through that group’s cultural program.
Also planned will be a “Meet and Greet Brunch” May 21 at 10 a.m. Set at the high school cafeteria, tickets are $20 per person with a discount $15 per ticket after the first two in the same family.hef check
Bealko said this would be an opportunity for the public to meet the cast characters and have photos taken with them.
“We are really excited to bring this show to Henryetta. It has been a challenge but our cast members are up to it” she said.
