Cody Melton, a Lawton native, is working with area customers and using his lifetime of agriculture experience to help area ranchers.
Melton was raised on a farm that was mainly a cattle operation and some crop production.
That tradition was carried on through his early years with involvement in 4-H and FFA while going to Elgin high school. After graduation, he went to Connors State College and then to OSU with a degree in animal science.
Before taking the current position, he was an ag teacher then went to the oilfields and pipelines.
He and his wife, Lacee, are the parents to three boys. She operates Sweet Tea Boutique in Warner and they both own and operate Sweet Tea Cattle Company and Sweet Tea Feeds. “Our feed business consists of selling Sunglo show feed and supplements to students to help with their show cattle projects. The cattle company raises and sells show cattle.
“We are glad to have Cody be a part of the AEB family,” said bank president Terri Thompson. “His knowledge of the agriculture industry will go a long way to helping the area’s farmers and ranchers.”
