Johnny Mack James, Dustin, died May 16 near Eufaula at the age of 73. He was born Aug. 10, 1948 in Henryetta to Frank and Bonnie (Ross) James.
Johnny was a longtime resident of Dustin, Oklahoma and had attended Pharoah Schools as a child. In 1971 he married Florence Marie Snowder and she later preceded him in death Feb. 5, 2012. Johnny was a hard worker. He worked as a fence builder and in the oilfield as a pipeliner.
Preceding him in death were his wife, his parents; three brothers: Doug, Bobby and Charlie; five sisters: Virginia, Helen, Dean, Nancy and JoAnn.
Survivors include his son, J. James and wife Andi of Okemah; daughter, Alice Hammon and husband Jay of Henryetta; two brothers, Don and Jimmy James; sister, Veta Kay Maxwell; five grandchildren: Cody, Tyler, Chad, Alisha and Allison and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his niece, Sharon Corley and husband Jimmie of Eufaula.

Viewing will be held Thursday, May 19, 2022, from 9 .am. to 5 p.m. at the Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Okemah.
