A pickup stolen from Shoney’s Saturday has been recovered in Tulsa but the thieves are believed to be from the Henryetta area.
According to police a flatbed truck was captured on video pulling up next to the pickup and one individual got out. Despite locked doors, that person was able to get into the vehicle and start it up with a screwdriver.
Surveillance video shows the flatbed first at the Walmart parking lot with a person walking around looking at vehicles. The truck then drove to the Shoney’s lot and made off with the pickup.
The owner’s purse was in the pickup when it was stolen but was not recovered by Tulsa police.
The flatbed is described as having a dark front fender and has allegedly been seen in the Henryetta area since the theft.
