At a special Henryetta school board meeting Monday night, three people were hired and approval given for the student and faculty handbooks.
Board members started off approving Shelby Kieswetter to be the adjunct teacher for the coming year to teach six sections of biological science.
Superintendent Dwayne Noble explained Kieswetter is certified to teach physical science but, because there is a shortage of teachers, the adjunct approval allows teachers to instruct in similar classes.
Also hired were Annette Sisson as special education teacher for the middle school and Katie Simons as an elementary paraprofessional.
Discussion over the handbooks covered the medical marijuana card recipients with board members voting against allowing anyone with that card to drive school vehicles.
