For most of the game Tuesday it appeared as though the Lady Knights would post a second win on their board.
That was not to be when the Haskell Lady Haymakers posted two home runs, one of them a grand slam, to take a 8-6 win.
The game was scoreless for the first two innings then Serenity Rex doubled scoring Mckayla Greenhaw. Haskell came back to tie with a grounder and error in the top of the fourth.
Henryetta broke the tie in the fifth when a single by Greenhaw that scored Sutv Harjo. Shelby Kilhoffer added a run on her single that brought in Kassedy Lee.
The excitement on the Henryetta side peaked when Allanee Hicks parked the ball that was good for three runs.
Haskell sank that excitement with a home run to make it 8-6.
Henryetta was facing two outs when Harjo stole home getting the Lady Knights within one run. A pop flyout put an end to those hopes.
"It was disappointing," said coach Ryan Swallow. "We had a five-run lead but let them back in the game"
