Two people were arrested by county deputies after a shooting at a home in the north part of Okmulgee County.
County sheriff Eddy Rice said deputies were called to a home in the Spanish Peaks area Tuesday evening after a shooting had been reported. Upon arrival at the scene, they were told the victims had left the area but were located at the Hectorville store. Both were taken to a Tulsa hospital for treatment of their injuries.
The subsequent investigation by the District 25 Violent Crime Task Force learned there was a struggle at the home.
The investigation led to arrest warrants issued for Christina Butcher and Steven Shutler. Both were taken into custody Thursday and placed in the county jail. Butcher was charged with first degree burglary and is held on a $20,000 bond. Shutler was charged with two misdemeanor counts of aggravated assault and battery and a felony charge of first degree burglary. Bond was set at $100,000.
