Tuesday night’s softball game with Beggs was a near repeat of the Monday encounter with Henryetta winning 17-0.
Henryetta actually won the game in the first inning with 12 runs then added the next five in the second.
Shelby Kilhoffer and Serenity Rex both went yard in their second time at bat in that frame.”The HHS girls were already up 8-0 Kilhoffer put the ball over the right field fence. That homer brought in two more runs then Rex hit to center for a solo homer.
The second inning saw Henryetta take advantage of loaded bases adding the next five runs.
Mckayla Greenhad started the pitching for Henryetta. She allowed only one hit and struck out two. Winter Beaver followed her up on the rubber also giving up one hit but letting no Beggs batter to walk.
That put the Henryetta season at 17-15 with an away trip set Thursday to Dale then the final home encounter planned for Tuesday with Bristow.
The Lady Knights will be going to Kiefer next week for regionals. The state fast pitch tournament is set the following week.
