Carlton Eugene Sallee, a resident of Pharaoh, died Sept. 24, 2022 in Okemah at the age of 82.
Carlton was born March 18, 1940 to Gilbert and Irene Sallee. He was raised in Henryetta and received his high school diploma from St. Michael’s. After graduating, Carlton worked at the local glass plant until he got his dream job as an Oklahoma State Game Warden. He worked for the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife for 35 years and retired as a Lieutenant. After retirement, he continued his service in law enforcement as a Deputy for the Okfuskee County Sheriff’s office.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father Gilbert and Irene Sallee; his grandparents Bob and Della Rogers and John and Mary Sallee; his brother and sister Kenneth and Evelyn Sallee, and his brothers-in-law Sonny Williams and Billy Crabtree.
Carlton is survived by his wife Peggy Sallee; his daughter Christle Wells and husband Ryan along with their three children, Macie, Presley, and Archie; his brother Bobby Sallee; his sister June Williams; his mother-in-law Sue Crabtree; his brother-in-law Johny Crabtree and wife Bobbie; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Viewing will be held Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2022 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Integrity Funeral Service.
The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at Dewar First Baptist Church with Rev. Ryan Wells officiating. Services and arrangements have been entrusted to Integrity Funeral Service.
