Nichols Park will be echoing with the roar of motorcycle engines this weekend as the American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association (AHRMA) championship races get underway.
This is the fifth year for the races to be held in Henryetta and participants from all over the United States are expected to be on hand. MG 0207
Racing Saturday and Sunday, contestants will be riding early model motorcycles, some dating back to the `920s.
Trampas Parker, organizer of the championship races, said the public will be able to watch the motocross races both days on a specially designed track on the north side of the park.
A dinner Sunday night at The Briefcase will see the awards given out to the top races.
The public can attend the races with ten and under admitted free. Adult admission is $10 per day.
