Fans of the three-point goal got their money's worth Tuesday night in the Henryetta-Preston contest.
A total of 28 shots went into the basket from far away as the two teams battled to an 89-62 decision in favor of the Pirates.
It was under the basket that the outcome against the Knights was sealed. Preston dropped in 23 field goals while Henryetta could only sink six.
Nick Hudson, Maverick Randleman and Skylar Greenhaw each had three of the long-range field goals. Hudson would end the night with a total of 18 points while Randleman had nine and Greenhaw had 12. Ethan Palmer, Hunter Gobin, Will Perez, Jordan Nail and Jordan Short would also get three point field goals.
Preston started out hitting the long distance shots and gained a 21-15 advantage in the first quarter. That stretched to 43-31 at the half. In the third quarter, the Pirates scored 29 points against the 14 for the Knights gaining a 71-46 upper hand.
The fourth saw Randleman get all three of his three-point field goals with Gobin and Perez getting their single three-pointers to post the final score.

Henryetta's Lady Knights were able to get one three-point goal but that was not enough to help them against the Lady Pirates in the opening contest.
The Lady Knights were only able to score single digits in three of the four quarters while Preston jumped off to an early lead to take a 73-20 win.
Brooklyn Baughman was the leading scorer for Henryetta with seven points followed by Lawrence with six, Lee with four, Harjo two and Cummings onw.
