All Okmulgee County Republican Party members are encouraged to attend the Feb. 14 precinct meeting and county convention. Set at the American Legion building in Okmulgee, the meeting starts at 6:03 p.m. Anyone attending must bring their voter ID card, or government-issued photo ID.
At that meeting, party members will elect both precinct and county officers and vote to make any revisions to the Okmulgee County platform and rules. At the same time, recommendations will be accepted for changes to the state Republican Party.
The precinct meetings will be eligible to attend the county convention held that same evening as a voting delegate. At that time, county officers including County Chair, Vice Chair, 2 State Committee Members and 2 District Committee Members will be elected.
Those attending will also be able to sign up to be a delegate to the Oklahoma Republican Party’s State Convention to be held on May 5 and 6.
