A 30-year-old Henryetta man has been found guilty of aggravated sexual abuse and sexual abuse of a minor.
The guilty verdicts on the charges were issued March 8 in federal court at Muskogee against Sean Paul Baker.
According to assistant United States attorney Caila Cleary, Baker was accused of engaging in sexual acts with a child under the age of 12 over a six year period.
Charges were filed in federal court because Baker is a member of a federally-recognized Indian tribe and the crimes occurred in Okmulgee County, within the boundaries of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation Reservation.
US. District Judge Ronald White ordered a presentence investigation. Sentencing will be scheduled following that investigation.
Baker was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal pending the imposition of sentencing.
