The win Tuesday night broke a tree on Merrick sending it into a power line causing a small fire. According to fire chief David Bullard, the debris hit the weatherhead on the house pulling it free causing a short that ignited the fire. The blaze was quickly entinguished with most of the damage coming from a hole in the roof. That wind was part of a storm that spawnd several tornadoes including several that devastated part of Shawnee. When it went through the Okemah area, the storm dropped some hail that broke out the windows on an Okemah fire truck then went through Wilson leaving golf ball-sized hailstones in its wake.
