The Henryetta Knights will be sending a full compliment of tennis contestants to the state meet this weekend.
In the regional tournament held here Monday, the Knights posted three first place and one second place wins giving them the points to sweep the regional trophy.
Ethan Lovell had a prolonged 1 singles match against Harrah before taking his 3,4,1 victory. He drew a bye at the start then posted back to back wins over Perry and Bristow.
The 1 doubles contest ended with Sheldon Andrews and Jones battling away for a 4,4,3 . They manhandled Perrry , 0,0 then took a 4,2,2 win over Wagoner.
Nick Hudson won his 2 singles match 0,2 against Harrah that capped off back to back wins over Sperry and Byng.
Connor Matlock and Jayson Scott ran into trouble in their finals with Byng losing 1,5.
"This was a great day for our team," sad coach Dustin Mosco. "Several times the boys knew they had to dig deep and come up with the wins."
The state tournament will be held Friday and Saturday at the Oklahoma City Tennis Center.
