Even though classroom studies are over for the summer, a number of area youngsters are going to be honing their athletic skills in the days and weeks to come.
This week saw basketball, tennis and golf camps start up with coaches teaching the young athletes basic skills and trying to develop a love for the game.
The golf camp runs through June 1 while the Henryetta tennis courts will be going until July 6.
Older students from a number of area high schools were at the Knight Center gym Tuesday morning for several days of practice and instruction.
The gym will see local youngsters in grades one through six to start up their basketball camp June 19 and 20.

Henryetta band students will be getting their marching routines down starting June 19.
