The halls at Wilson school were filled with parents and students looking for schedules and filling out forms Thursday.
Classes begin Monday morning and the open house Thursday gave everyone an opportunity to get prepared.
Superintendent Andrea James said teachers are expecting about 40 more students this year than last year.
Some of those students are from move-ins while others are coming from the Henryetta and Okmulgee districts.
High school principal Vernie Thomas said a new STEM class is going to be offered this year. "We are excited about that. It's going to help our science and robotics classes."
James said two new faces will be greeting the middle and high school students this year.
Krista Stitsworth will be teaching math and science in the middle school while Jennifer Mason is going to be the high school science teacher.
During the evening, a number of students preferred to take advantage of the inflatable splash toy as their parents were filling out the dreaded paperwork.
Woodmen of the World representative Mike Doak was on hand to let parents get their children fingerprinted.
