chromebooksNew Chromebooks will be given to all high school students in Henryetta this year.
The Chromebooks will be made available Wednesday during the 1 to 7 p.m. open house after parents have completed the paperwork.
Those small laptops will enable students to download their homework assignments and even turn it in to teachers. This is the second time the Chromebooks have been available to students from Freshman to Senior classes.
Another set of Chromebooks are being made available in Henryetta Middle and Elementary schools but they will not be given to the students. Those mobile devices will be kept in the classrooms.
High school students and their parents will be responsible for the small computers and will be held liable in the event of damage or loss through misuse.
Also during the open house, HHS swim team coach Nadine Graham is encouraging anyone interested in joining that sport to contact her at the Middle School gymnasium.
Practice for the team starts Sept. 14 and transportation to and from the practice pool will be provided.
