The new school year has started at Henryetta and parents were busy getting their children ready for class Thursday morning.
Police are encouraging everyone to drive with caution during the morning and afternoon hours when traffic is heaviest around the schools. West Gentry from Kings Road is designated as one-way only going west and the street running south by the elementary school is one way during school hours.
School officials said the open house Wednesday saw nearly record crowds of parents and students meeting teachers, getting schedules and preparing for the new year.
