The Henryetta Knights are the Heartland Conference golf champions.
Playing at their home course, the Knights won the Heartland title by ten strokes beating Eufaula 339 to 349. Henryetta easily outdistanced the other two teams with Beggs posting a 390 score and Morris Eagles with 394.
HHS junior Brady Norman was the individual champion. He shot a 73 on the day. That was seven strokes ahead of Eufaula’s Trent Montgomery with an 80 followed by Newton Reed from Beggs with an 82.
HHS freshman Nakona Johnson had an 88 with Hunter Gobin and Cavern Foster each turning in 89 on their scorecards. Mavrix Randleman rounded out the HHS team with a 91 for the 18 holes.
