There were a lot of people who decided to help others Monday.
blood donationThe Henryetta fire and police departments were holding a "Guns and Hoses" blood drive at the civic center. The drive started at noon and continues through 5:30 Monday night.
"We want to thank everyone who came by and donated," said fire chief David Bullard. "Giving blood is a selfless act that can have long-lasting effects on people."
According to the Oklahoma Blood Institute, another blood drive will be held in December.
