George Dalton Reddick, Jr., a resident of Checotah and formerly of Weleetka, died Sept. 21, 2015 in Eufaula at the age 75. He was born April 7, 1940 in Bryant to George Dalton Reddick, Sr. and Dorothy B. (Richardson) Reddick. He married Rose M. Carper Aug. 14, 1959 in Pharoah. Dalton worked as an electrical engineer retiring from KELCO.
He attended Tabernacle of Praise in Henryetta and was a member of the Promise Keepers.
He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Dorothy Reddick, one son, George Dalton Reddick, III, a sister, Barbara Barton, a great-grandson, Hudson Yancey, and a great-grand daughter Shelby Brown.
He is survived by his wife Rose M. Reddick of the home; three children: Timothy C. Reddick and wife Janet of Cache, Lori Reed and husband Alan of Checotah and Jonathan Reddick of the home; six grandchildren: Jennifer Brown, Charley Reddick, Cody Reddick, Holly Beth Rodriquez, Julie Yancey, and Taylor Reed; one great-great grandchild; brother, Roger Reddick and wife Jennifer of Okmulgee; an uncle, Jack Reddick and wife Anita of Asher; and several nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives.
The family requests donations be made to the Michael J. Fox Parkinson's Foundation.
A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m., Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Integrity Chapel with Ralph Tamplen, officiating. Services are under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
