The City of Henryetta is required to make their Consumer Confidence Report available each year for the general public.
Jason Gold, water superintendent, said the 2020 report is now ready and can be found on the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality website.
He said anyone unable to access the report may request the report at city hall.
The report contains testing results filed with the state as well as violatons reported by the state. The three violations dealt with one report not submitted to the state as well as late reports submitted on the turbidity of the water samples at the city water plant.
That report can be found here: http://sdwis.deq.state.ok.us/DWW/CCReports/OK1020709.pdf

A townwide cleanup effort will be held in Henryetta Oct. 8, 9 and 10.
Organizer Jeremy Roberts said the project is designed to get rid of a lot of the junk, trash and debris that has accumulated since the last cleanup project several years ago.
cleanTo help with that, the city will have roll-off dumpsters at the Farmer’s Market near the skate park for each of the days.
Local residents can bring up to two loads and they will have to show a recent water bill. Roberts said the water bill will be stamped each time is it presented.
He also said volunteers are wanted to help at the dumpster location to check the water bills as well as provide information about the project.
“This would be a great opportunity to do a Fall Clean Up with your Church or Civic Organization in our town,” he added. Anyone wishing to help should be at the dump site Oct. 8.
Car batteries, tires, chemicals, parts will not be accepted into the roll offs.

water leak
Water service to Henryetta was shut off after workers at the QuikTrip site drilled into the main line feeding the town Monday morning.
The 12-inch line is due to be replaced and, according to public works director Ron Casey, the old line had been located prior to construction.
Without water, Henryetta schools had to dismiss classes early. Students whose parents were unable to pick them up were provided water through Okmulgee County Emergency Management then sent home on the bus at the normal time.
Fire chief David Bullard said water takers filled with non-potable water were placed at Walmart for residents to use with no charge.
Complicating the repairs was the loss of city workers due to COVID. Several employees were quarantined this past week after either contracting the virus or testing positive.

Rep. Logan Phillips, R-Mounds, announced he will pursue a data privacy bill in the upcoming legislative session.
Logan PhillipsHouse Bill 1130 would require any online business or webpage operator that collects consumers’ personal information to post in a conspicuous place prior to the collection what personal information will be collected and the purposes for which it will be used.
“Website operators are mining our personal information all of the time and then using that information to market new products to us or to track how we live our lives,” said Phillips, chair of the House Technology Committee. “Such information can even be used against us. Consumers deserve to know in advance what information is being collected on them, by whom, and how it will be used. My bill will ensure better transparency for the public.”
HB 1130 would require that any individual, business or website operating an online business or website in Oklahoma that collects a consumer’s person information or data shall, before the point of collection, conspicuously post on its website homepage in a plain, readable format the categories of personal information to be collected and the purposes for which the categories shall be used. The entity shall not collect additional categories of personal information or use such information without providing consumers with additional notice. The entity must disclose if the information will be sold, for instance.
Any entity violating the act will face a fine of $1,000 for the first violation and $5,000 for each subsequent offense.
The office of the state’s attorney general will be authorized to promulgate rules to effectuate the statute should the bill be signed into law.
The 2022 legislative session starts Monday, Feb. 7.
