Jandebeur’s Motor Sports Park: A Legacy of Passion and Family

A Thrilling Destination for Motorsports Enthusiasts

Okmulgee, OK – Nestled in the heart of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, Jandebeur’s Motor Sports Park is more than just a dirt track—it’s a haven for riders of all ages and skill levels. Spread across 170 acres, the park is a premier destination for motocross enthusiasts, offering an unparalleled riding experience with meticulously well maintained tracks and trails. With a legacy deeply rooted in the motorcycle industry, Jandebeur’s has evolved into the largest family-oriented motorsports facility in the Midwest, drawing thousands of riders annually.

The Vision Behind the Park

The park was founded by Bob Jandebeur, a lifelong motorcycle enthusiast whose journey began in North Platte, Nebraska. Bob’s passion for motorcycles was inherited from his father, who ran a successful dealership and fostered a love for motorsports within the family. However, Jandebeur’s Motor Sports Park wasn’t part of the original plan—it was a business born out of a father’s dedication to his son.

Bob’s journey into track ownership started unexpectedly when his seven-year-old son received a dirt bike for Christmas. The two rode at a this local track which later closed, prompting his son to suggest that Bob take over the facility. Initially skeptical, Bob eventually saw the potential and embarked on a mission to transform the track into a full-fledged motorsports park. What began with just three tracks and a warehouse full of old equipment has since grown into an expansive complex visited by over 50,000 guests annually.

A Park Like No Other

Unlike many motorsports parks that focus solely on racing, Jandebeur’s Motor Sports Park prioritizes community, training, and family-friendly activities.

The park offers:

  • Multiple Tracks: The facility features 10 different tracks, including expert-level circuits, beginner-friendly trails, and specialized training areas.
  • Training Programs: Bob is a nationally accredited coach with the United States Motorcycle Coaching Association and has personally trained nearly 4,000 kids in riding and motocross techniques.
  • Dirt Bike Rentals & Sales: The park maintains a longstanding relationship with Yamaha, providing late-model rental bikes and a selection of used motorcycles for sale.
  • Family Accommodations: Air-conditioned clubhouses, restrooms, showers, and a designated kids’ riding area, known as “Jandyland,” cater to families and young riders.
  • Event Hosting: Jandebeur’s regularly hosts youth races, motocross competitions, and specialized riding camps.

A Family Tradition in Motorsports

The Jandebeur family’s roots in the motorcycle business stretch back generations. Bob’s father, Douglas Benjamin Jandebeur, was a pioneering motorcycle mechanic and dealer as well as a professional racer. His grandfather, an entrepreneur in Nebraska, instilled in the family a strong work ethic and a knack for business.

Bob himself started working in his father’s motorcycle shop as a young boy, gaining hands-on experience in mechanics, sales, and customer service. By the age of 12, he was already repairing motorcycles, and by 16, he was making enough money to buy his own vehicles. His early success in racing and business would later shape the way he ran Jandebeur’s Motor Sports Park.

From Racing to Business Success

Bob’s racing career took him all across the country including twice competing in the legendary Daytona International road races. His father had also raced at Daytona in the early 1960’s qualifying 3rd fastest and their family name became well-known in the motorcycle racing world. The Jandebeurs were among the top Honda dealers in the U.S., selling thousands of bikes annually during the motorcycle boom of the 1970s.

After selling the motorcycle dealership, Bob and his father shifted their focus to aviation, purchasing hangars at Tulsa International Airport and turning their venture into one of the nation’s most successful fixed-base operations, “Million Air Tulsa”. Despite their achievements in aviation, Bob’s heart remained in motorsports, leading him to establish the park in Okmulgee.

Building a Safe and Sustainable Riding Environment

One of Bob’s core principles in running the park is safety. Unlike some tracks that allow unrestricted riding, Jandebeur’s Motor Sports Park carefully monitors who is on the track and ensures that riders of similar skill levels share the same spaces. This commitment to safety has earned the park a reputation as one of the safest riding facilities in the mid-west.

Additionally, Bob has a vision for the park’s future. He plans to develop home sites within the park, creating a gated community where residents can enjoy exclusive access to the tracks. The goal is to establish a “country club for dirt bikes,” offering both private residences and world-class riding amenities.

Inspiring the Next Generation

Jandebeur’s Motor Sports Park is more than just a place to ride—it’s a place where young riders develop confidence, discipline, and a love for the sport. Seven youth National Champions started their racing at the Park. Many parents have shared stories of how their children’s involvement in dirt biking has positively impacted their lives, improving their focus, responsibility, and outdoor activity levels.

Bob’s mission extends beyond just running a successful business. He actively works to get kids off screens and into the outdoors, teaching them valuable skills and fostering a love for motorsports. His coaching programs not only train young riders in bike handling but also instill life lessons about perseverance, competition, and teamwork.

A Legacy in Motion

Jandebeur’s Motor Sports Park stands as a testament to the passion and dedication of the Jandebeur family. From a simple dirt track to a nationally recognized riding destination, the park continues to grow and evolve, welcoming riders from across the country and even internationally.

With plans for expansion, continued emphasis on safety, and a commitment to youth development, Jandebeur’s Motor Sports Park remains a beacon for the motorsports community. Whether you’re a seasoned racer, a weekend enthusiast, or a young rider taking your first spin, the park offers something for everyone—a place where the thrill of riding meets the warmth of family and tradition.
