Obituary For Carol Payne March 29 1944 – June 16 2026

Carol Lee Payne, a resident of Henryetta, passed away on June 16, 2026. She was born on March 29, 1944, in Rahway, New Jersey.

Carol graduated from Madison High School in 1963 and continued her education at Chamberlayne Junior College in Boston, Massachusetts, graduating in 1965. Following her education, she worked for Phillips 66 in the sales office in Madison, New Jersey.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald D. Payne. The couple was married on July 17, 1998, marking what Carol often described as the beginning of the best years of her life. During the last four and a half years of her life, she was surrounded by the love and care of her family. She especially adored her great-grandchildren, who kept her active and brought her immeasurable joy.

She is survived by her children, Colleen Leftdridge of Missouri, Heather McNeal of Ohio, Crystal Holt and husband Robert of Dustin, Becky Belleu of Florida, and Ronald D. Payne Jr. of Dustin.

She is also survived by her grandchildren, William R. Holt of Dustin, Christina Henshaw of Henryetta, and Jennifer Holt of Henryetta.

Her cherished memory will live on through her great-grandchildren, Eahin Henshaw, Slade Robinson, Adalyn Henshaw, Hayden Gaches, and Kobyn Holt.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 19, 2026, at Hanna Cemetery in Hanna, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Rogers Funeral Home.

Carol requested a closed casket service, there will be no viewing or visitation.
