Obituary For Jackie Glenn Leist Jul 10 1950 — Jun 29 2026

Jackie Glenn Leist went to be with our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST on Monday, June 29, 2026. Known to everyone as Glenn, he was born on July 10, 1950, to Bertha and Hugh “Jack” Leist. Glenn was raised in Wainwright, Oklahoma, where he graduated from high school in 1968. He then attended Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, where he studied education.

Glenn met and married Patricia Bryant Leist on April 14, 1973, and they were married just short of 50 years until Patricia was called to Heaven. He was an incredibly hard-working man, a dedicated husband and father, and happily shared his love of JESUS with everyone around him.

Glenn’s career took him from teaching at Schulter, to serving as Principal at Dustin, to teaching at Okmulgee High School, and later at Henryetta and Dewar schools. Glenn was an amazing teacher, and his love of science and education was evident throughout his career.

Those who welcomed him into Heaven are his parents, Jack and Bertha Leist; his wife, Patricia Leist; his son, Kevin Leist; his grandsons, Nathanael George and Robert Sumner; his sister, Arlene Peterson; and his niece, Teresa Rodriguez.

Those left to cherish Glenn’s memory are his five daughters and their husbands: Brandi and Jerry Rowe, Robin and Willy George, Patti and Donnie Dixon, Chrissi and Marshall Martin, and Mandi and Richard Seaborn.

He is also survived by his grandchildren and their spouses: Lexie and Kevin Herring, Tyler and Hanna George, Brooke George, Patrick and Chloe Dixon, Andrew and Paige Dixon, Faith and Austin Howerton, Emily Martin, Autumn Sumner, Randall and Mackenzie Seaborn, Daniel and Brooklyn Seaborn, and Kevin and Ena Seaborn.

His great-grandchildren include Henleigh, Natalie, and Wrenley George; Mason Howerton; Ryder and Remington Seaborn; Ezra Sumner; and Aurora Sumner-Wilson.

Glenn was anxiously awaiting the arrival of three new great-grandbabies: Rodeo Glenn Seaborn, Johnny Seaborn, and Penelope Dixon.

Although we miss him dearly, we rejoice knowing that because of JESUS CHRIST, we will see him again.

Pallbearers will be Tyler George, Patrick Dixon, Andrew Dixon Randall Seaborn, Daniel Seaborn, and Kevin Seaborn.

Viewing will be from 3-7 PM on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at Integrity Funeral Service.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, July 2, 2026 at Town and Country Christian Church in Okmulgee with Rev. Melvin Johnson, officiating. Interment will follow at Westlawn Cemetery. Services are under the care and direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
