This weekend, November 8-10, Henryetta’s Nichols Park is transformed into a hub of excitement as T&S Racing hosted an action-packed event featuring Cross Country (CC), Trials (TR), and Motocross (MX) competitions. The American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association (AHRMA) organized the event, which attracted a lively crowd eager to experience vintage motorcycle racing and community fun.
The event kicked off with Thursday’s pre-race festivities, where participants and spectators were invited to a $10-entry Poker Run on the motocross track. The evening wrapped up with “Pickin’ & Grinnin’,” an open mic session paired with cookies and cocoa, adding a warm community touch.
On Friday, the racing truly began, with thrilling rounds of Cross Country and Trials competitions. Spectators gathered along the tracks, cheering on the racers as they navigated challenging terrain. Saturday continued the excitement, with Motocross events bringing high-energy races that kept fans on their feet. The OWWTSHOOTOUT Moto, held in three parts across the weekend, added a competitive edge, with riders giving their all during intermission and in final rounds.
Food vendors, including popular local trucks like El Tapatio Mexican and Sweet Southern Cakery, provided delicious options, ensuring no one went hungry as they enjoyed the races. For those who stayed overnight, Nichols Park offered convenient camping options, complete with water access, portable toilets, and scenic, shaded areas. Nearby hotels in Henryetta and Okmulgee also provided accommodations for out-of-town visitors.
As the races concludes on Sunday, T&S Racing is hosting a trophy presentation, recognizing the talents and efforts of the riders. The weekend was a fantastic showcase of Henryetta’s vibrant spirit and passion for motorsports, and the strong turnout reflected the town’s enthusiasm for these events.
This weekend of adrenaline, friendly competition, and community gathering left everyone eager for the next round of racing action at Nichols Park, where T&S Racing and AHRMA delivered an unforgettable experience for both participants and spectators.
