Lacey Oklahoma: On October 23, 2024, a fatal collision occurred on N2730, approximately 0.3 miles north of E0590, about three miles west and three miles north of Lacey, Oklahoma, in Kingfisher County. The crash, involving a single vehicle, claimed the life of a 21-year-old Hennessey resident.
The victim, identified as Eduardo Dominguez Cervantes, was driving a 2010 Dodge Ram pickup southbound on N2730 when, for reasons still under investigation, the vehicle veered off the roadway. According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP), the truck initially departed the road to the left, re-entered the roadway, and then departed again to the right, crashing into several small trees before continuing into a ditch and ultimately striking a larger tree.
Cervantes was pronounced deceased at the scene by medical personnel. His body was transported to the Office of the Medical Examiner in Oklahoma City. No passengers were reported to be in the vehicle at the time of the crash.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the collision, as well as Cervantes’ condition prior to the incident. It was confirmed that although the vehicle was equipped with seatbelts, they were not in use. Weather conditions were clear, and the roadway at the crash site was a dirt surface.
The accident was investigated by Trooper Jech of the OHP, with assistance from Trooper Kraft, Captain Morgan, the Kingfisher County Sheriff’s Office, Hennessey Fire Department, and LIFE EMS.
