Jarrin Jackson, candidate for the Second Congressional District post will be in Okmulgee Thursday, May 5 to visit with area residents.
jerand jacksonJackson, a Claremore resident, will be at the Okmulgee Public Library, 218 S. Okmulgee Avenue, at 6:30 p.m.  
He served as a Captain in the US Infantry where he was deployed twice to Afghanistan and awarded two Bronze Stars.  He led over 300 American soldiers in combat, managed budgets of $350 million, and excelled in organizational leadership and geopolitical issues management.
Jackson and his wife Katie live in Claremore with their two sons, Lloyd and Dale. He is a 5th generation Oklahoman, and was raised in Oologah.
