A broken power line between Gentry and Division on Second Street caused a blackout to a great part of the east and south side of Henryetta Friday night.
The line fell across a chain link fence nearly melting an aluminum support. No one was in the yard at the time of the incident although neighbors reported hearing a large bang when it shorted out.
All of the traffic lights on Main Street were without power for a time forcing motorists to obey stationary signs and police officers.
PSO crews responded to the problem within 20 minutes and were busy restoring electrical service.
