Henryetta added first and second place trophies to the tennis showcase Friday and Saturday.
The Lady Knights posted first place wins in both 1 and 2 doubles teams and 2 singles that put them well ahead of Regent and Anadarko, the second and third place teams.
Henryetta’s boys were unable to capture a first place win Friday settling for second place in boys 1 and 2 doubles and 2 singles giving the Knights second place just two points behind Christian heritage Academy and five points ahead of Anadarko.
The Friday tournament saw the 1 doubles team of Day and Freeman head to the finals with wins over Okmulgee and Wagoner. They lost out to Anadarko 0,1 in the championship round.
In boys 2 doubles, Lollis and Macaluso drew a bye in the first round then battled through the semi-finals with Seminole to win 5,1,2. They lost 5,5 to Wagoner in the finals.
Kanon Bailey won his opener against Okmulgee then took a 3,1 win over Regent in the semi-finals. He lost to Christian Heritage 2,0 for second place.
In the 1 singles, Colten Wion won his first match but lost to Christian heritage in the semi-finals. He had to settle for fourth after losing 3,4 to Anadarko.
On Saturday, the Lady Knights 1 doubles team of Bryant and Montgomery started out with a match against fellow Knights Hage and Glass. They won that match 0,3 putting them in the semi-finals with Wagoner. After winning 2,2 Bryant and Montgomery took a 4,4 win over Regent for the championship. Hage and Glass lost out to Little Axe in the consolation semis.
The HHS 2 doubles team of Hehr and Davis started with an 0,0 win over Kimbrough from Okemah and Sheffield from Seminole. The followed that with a win over Seminole and defeated Anadarko with a 4,6,2 series.
In the singles contests, Natalie Smith started her 2 singles journey with a win over Wagoner and followed that winning 2,0 over Makenzie Moen from Okmulgee. She captured the championship with a 2,7 decision over Regent.
Fallon Rodgers won her first 1 singles match over Little Axe but lost 3,2 to Anadarko. That put her into the third place bracket against Kay Roberts from Wagoner. Rodgers won 0,0 for third.
The 1 singles extra entry by Taylor Hodge gave the Lady Knights a seventh place win. Hodge lost her opener against Regent. After a loss to Okmulgee, she won 0,1 against Little Axe.
