Henryetta businessman Shannon Scott is the Ward 1 council candidate.
Scott, who has lived in Henryetta for the past eight years, owns Henryetta Ford and S&S Automotive, LLC.
He is a 1986 Edmond Memorial High School graduate and graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1991.
Scott and his wife Rikki, are the parents of four children, Jackson, Tate, Gigi and Charlee.
This is his first time to run for public office and says, if elected, "I will spend the necessary time to fully understand all of the issues facing our community. Henryetta needs a well-informed city council to improve our community and it's economic climate."
Scott is the third candidate that has responded to letters sent out by Thehenryettan.com to all six seeking a position on the council.
