It was jsu t about standing room only Sunday night as the final edition of the Jim Shoulders Living Legends rodeo concluded. For the most part, the cowboys didn't fare too well with the broncs and bulls taking their toll on the riders.
The annual two-night event was packed both nights with young and old rodeo enthusiasts enjoying the action.
Most of the visitors came from the Henryetta area as well as some nearby towns and even a couple of neighboring states. This  year, the rodeo provided entertainment for a family who journeyed over half-way around the world to watch.
Mr and Mrs. Hasibe Zor from Istanbul, Turkey, Mustafa and Nermin Tasci Adana, Turkey and Cemal and Latasha Tasci of Stillwater were in the stands participating in the Old West tradition.
rifle winner namedCemal and Latasha recently moved to Stillwater from Turkey and his parents were visiting Oklahoma to see what the Sooner state had to offer. That trip included the OSU-TU football game then a stop in Henreytta. During their stay here they visited several local stores and purchased some western wear to get into the spirit of the rodeo. They were recognized by the announcer at the start of the rodeo.
One of the highlights of the night was the drawing for the Henry rifle offered through the Chamber of Commerce. Schulter resident, Elton Dillon's ticket was drawn by Miss Rodeo USA Brittany Howard during a break in the rodeo action.
The Labor Day festivities continue through Monday with a parade, car show, varous games for all ages and fireworks.
