There’s a lot of trophies adorning shelves around town now that the 2017 Henryetta Labor Day parade is in the books.
The trophies and plaques were presented Monday night at Cameron Field signaling an end to the annual event.
Winners include:
Cars:
Tiny Tots: Della Howell, LaPetite first place; Ruby Lewis second and Sofia Wilburn third.
Juniors: HHS cheerleaders first, Henryetta Middle School second and Wilson FFA third.
Business: Senior Star first.
Union: GMP first.
Queen contestants: Janet Corkerin, first and Jasmine Putman, second.
Floats:
Juniors: Dewar Dragons, first, Wilson second.
Civic Groups: Nichols parks Restoration first, Dewar Harvest Festival, second and henryetta VFW Post 539 third.
Business: McIntosh Tumblers, first; Taco Bell second, Coalton Shaving and Feed third.
Union: Operating engineers 627 first, Transportation Workers Union 514 second and IBEW 584, third.
Band comeptition saw Oktaha win first, Henryetta second and Dewar third.
In the turtle race, Blake Benton had the first place winner, Kaster Hargin second and Boston and Maverick Williams entered the third fastest terrapin.
Frog jumping competition saw Jace Walker’s entry place first while Konrad Flansburg was second and Pearl Martin took third.
