Henryetta voters will be going to the polls Feb. 13 to elect a new school board member.
One of the candidates is HHS graduate Misty Sweeney.
She is running for the board office number 3 that will be vacated by Brandi Cunningham.
This is the first time she has sought an elected office and says she wants, “to help make a difference in our school, not only for the kids but for all involved.”
The mother of three graduated from HHS as salutatorian in 2002 and is self-employed in the cosmetology field.
“I am vested in this community and this school for many years. “With my knowledge of owning and running a business coupled with my love for this school, students, our programs and teachers, I feel I will be the best fit for the post. I want to be the voice for our parents and community.”
