David Bullard is the second candidate running for the office 3 position on the Henryetta school board.
The current fire chief was born and raised in Henryetta. He and his wife Stacy, are the parents of two children who attend school here.
In addition to his position as fire chief, Bullard is the safety officer and emergency management director for the city of Henryetta. He is also a Henryetta Housing Authority Commissioner, and a member of the Okmulgee County EMS Board of Directors and the Okmulgee County Firefighter Association President.
He says the experience gained through those position will help him serve the Henryetta school district.
“I am committed to the improvement of quality education, and I am willing to communicate with all stakeholders involved to do so. I believe that members of our board must be willing to collaborate with parents, staff, students, as well as the community to ensure success,” he said.
His name will be on the ballot at the Feb. 13 school election.
