signsHenryetta teachers took advantage of a great sunny Saturday to gain support for the school funding problems in Oklahoma.
Teachers were at both ends of Main Street with posters and waiving at motorists as the state Legislature tries to find a way to eliminate or reduce the amount of cuts public education has been dealing with for the past six years.
Even students and students-to-be wereshowing their support for the statewide issue.
Rep. Scott Fetgatter stopped by and told the teachers that there are conversations at the Capitol that may produce results this coming week. If a funding bill is not passed, teachers across the state have said they will be leaivng the classrooms and presenting their case to both the House and Senate.
