Avery Moore, a lifetime resident of Henryetta, died April 2, 2018 in Henryetta at the age of 18. He was born June 17, 1999 in Okmulgee to Lindsey Moore and Michael Thompson.
Avery was currently a senior at Henryetta High School where he was an outstanding athlete playing basketball and football where he played the position of running back. Avery was the 2018 Homecoming King, was on the National Honor Society, the Henryetta High School Student Council and worked at Walmart in Okmulgee in the garden center.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Janice Thompson, paternal grandfather, Terence Thompson, maternal great grandmother Viola Moore, maternal great grandfather, Bill Moore, maternal great grandfather, Gene Donathan, and paternal great grandparents, Thurman and Madeline Wren.
He is survived by his mother, Lindsey Moore Macaluso and fiancee Todd Harris of Henryetta; his father, Michael Thompson of Henryetta; stepdad, John Michael Macaluso of Henryetta; two brothers, Austin and Aden Macaluso of Henryetta; two sisters, Alyssa and Aubrey Macaluso of Henryetta; maternal grandparents, Joyce and Jeff Kerchee of Edmond; maternal grandfather, Raymond Moore of Henryetta; paternal great grandparents, Ralph and Frances Thompson of Henryetta; maternal great grandparents, Marie and Frank Porter of Henryetta; maternal uncle, Raymond John and Lori Moore of Edmond; paternal Aunt, Jennifer and Eric Clopton of Broken Arrow; also several great aunts, uncles, as well as a host of cousins and friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Monday, April 9, 2018 at the Henryetta High School Gymnasium with Rev. Jack Vance and Rev. Ryan Wells officiating. Interment will follow in Westlawn Cemetery under direction and care of Integrity Funeral Service.
