Willie Benson Hamm, a former resident of Dewar and Bristow, died in Helena, Okla., on April 22, 2018 at the age of 38. Willie was born Jan. 16, 1980 in Okmulgee to Bobby Hamm and Rhonda Boswell.
Willie grew up in the Dewar area and attended Dewar Public Schools. Willie is preceded in death by his grandparents, Edna Hamm and Willie Hamm, and Bill Boswell and Virginia Boswell; a paternal aunt and uncle, David and Kaye Hamm; an uncle, Larry Boswell; and cousins, Sam Hamm and Heather Boswell.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela Hamm; his four children: Gavin Hamm of Tulsa, Brooklyn Hamm of Tulsa, Dakota Hamm of Sapulpa and Shiann Hamm of Sapulpa; his father, Bobby Hamm and companion Neomi Lindsey of Bristow; his mother, Rhonda Boswell of Tulsa; sisters: Bobbie Jo Hamm and husband Kirk of Kansas, and Summer Boswell of Henryetta; three step-sisters: Rose Meadows of Henryetta, Melissa Caywood of Manford, Denise Lindsey of Dewar, and Minnie Lindsey of Tulsa; two step-brothers: Lewis Lindsey of Dewar and Jack Lindsey of Okmulgee; niece, Bethany Fry; nephews, Blake Fry, Gabriel Fry, Clayton Plum, and Nathan Plum; as well as other extended family and many good friends.
A memorial service for Willie will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Integrity Chapel in Henryetta with Rev. Earnest Best and Rev. Paul Maxey officiating.
Honorary bearers will be Tim Rose, Tony Polk, Teddy Lane, Cody Horton, Carl Byrd, and Billy Croteau.
