Marvin L. "Buddy" Hott, a lifetime resident of Henryetta, died April 25, 2018 in Henryetta at the age of 74. He was born May 12, 1943 in Henryetta to Marvin L. and Juanita (Randall) Hott.
He was a graduate of Henryetta Public Schools and was a proud veteran of the United States Military serving in both the United States Air Force and the Army National Guard from which he retired. During his time in the United States Air Force he worked on the B-52 bomber of which was very proud of. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Okmulgee and the Knights of Columbus.
Buddy was very active in the Henryetta community where he had coached little league football and baseball. He was active in the Boy Scouts of America for over 20 years where he was Cub Master, Scout Master and received the Silver Beaver award which is the highest distinction awarded to an adult.
After his time in the military Buddy worked for different corporations including what is now Raytheon Corporation. He then worked at Henryetta Public Schools working in maintenance and janitorial and later retired.
Survivors include his wife, Joanne of the home; one son, Shane Hott of Seminole; two granddaughters, Mykah Hott and Journee Hott of Henryetta; aunt, Barbara Hott of Irving, Texas; also by cousins, a host of friends and other relatives.
Viewing for Buddy will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.
A Rosary will be held at 8 p.m., Sunday, April 29 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Okmulgee.
Mass of Resurrection will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, April 30, 2017 at St. Anthony Catholic Church with Father Joshua Litwack officiating. Interment will be in Westlawn Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to St. Anthony Maintenance Fund, P.O. Box 698, Okmulgee, Oklahoma, 74437.
Pallbearers will be Jim Hays, James Beymer, John Walker, Michael Pennington, Alan Montgomery, and Brad Wion. Honorary bearers will be members of The Knights of Columbus.
