There was a time when Henryetta had six grade schools scattered around town. Those schools are all gone now but students who attended them still fondly recall those days.
Former classmates at Jefferson hold an annual meeting every Memorial Day weekend and catch up on current events and talk about those early days of readin', 'riting and 'rithmatic.
That reunion is held at the civic center with the morning dedicated to visiting followed by a noon meal.
