The servicemen and women now resting at Westlawn Cemetery were honored Monday morning in the annual Memorial day service held by the VFW and American Legion.
VFW post commander Bill Goodner told the nearly 100 attending that their presence, "is a tribute to those fallen heroes and their families."
He pointed out the "cost of freedom and independece comes with a high price. We remember the lifes lost and honor the lives they lived and are forever gradeful for their contribution."
The program started off iwth Tyler Sisson singing the National Anthem and included the recognition of the servicemen who are buried in cemeteries overseas. It ended with HHS band diredctor Alan Montgomery and student Quinten Story playing taps.
