William Gouge, a lifelong resident of Oklahoma City, died Feb. 23, 2019 in Okmulgee. He was born April 10, 1956 in Henryetta to Albert Gouge and Sallie (Spaniard) Gouge.
William worked in the construction industry as a carpenter.
William was preceded in death by both of his parents, Albert and Sallie Gouge, two sisters Deanne Gouge and Nancy Deere, brothers, Wilbur (Chebon) Gouge, Wilford Gouge, Ernest Ray Gouge, and Felix Gouge.
He is survived by his brother, Cecil Gouge of Tulsa; four sisters: Elizabeth Townsend of Okmulgee, Evelyn Wood of Oklahoma City, Helen Gouge of Wetumka, and Tina Gouge of Humble, Tex.; cousins he considered sisters, Chumona Deere, and Lesah Deere-Yargee both of Okemah; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2019 at the Integrity Funeral Service from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Wake services will be Tuesday Feb. 26, 2019 at 7 p.m. at Weogufkee Indian Baptist Church in Hanna.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2019 at the Weogufkee Indian Baptist Church in Hanna, with Rev. John Wayne Tulsa, officiating. Interment will follow at the Gouge Family Cemetery in Hanna.
