Earl Chapmon, a resident of rural Henryetta, died Feb. 2, 2020 at his home at the age of 89. He was born Jan. 10, 1931 in Oklahoma City to Paul Haskell Chapmon and Sophia (Baker) Chapmon.
He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving with the United States Army. He was a truck driver doing self employed long haul trucking as well as worked for Stubbs trucking in Henryetta.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Mae Chapmon, brothers, J.R. Chapmon, J. D. Chapmon, Buster Chapmon, sisters, Dee Chapmon, Bonnie Rasure, daughter, Nancy Chapmon and a granddaughter Andrea Mitchell.
He is survived by his wife, Dawna Chapmon of the home; six children: Richard Chapmon of rural Henryetta, Crystal Chapmon of Tulsa, Bobby Chapmon of Amarillo, Tex., Paul Earl Chapmon of Amarillo, Jody Hughs of Texas and Carol Eithridge of Texas; granddaughters: Misty Lawson and Kayla Chapmon; grandson, Montie Mitchell III and Keith Hollins; great granddaughters, Raven Robertson and Starr Lynn Parnell; great grandsons, Braxton and Waylon Lawson; also by many more grandchildren and great grandchildren; two brothers, Ed Chapmon and Jimmy Chapmon; two sisters, Connie West and Donna Mae Middaugh; also by a host of friends and other relatives.
Viewing for Earl will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6.
Pallbearers will be, Chris Boatright, Aaron Boatright, John Boatright, Lane Lawson, Paul Hasting, and Montie Mitchell.
Graveside Services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Friday, Feb. 7 at New Sonora Cemetery with Rev. Ryan Wells officiating. Services are under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
