David W. Black, a resident of Broken Arrow, died Oct. 12, 2020 in Tulsa at the age of 74. He was born Aug. 26, 1946 in Henryetta to Charles and Lois (Hawkins) Black. He married Claudia Carlton on May 25, 1969 and went to work for BNSF Railroad and retired after 32 years. David is a member of the Broken Arrow First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Claudia Black of the home; son: Pryce and wife Ashley Black of Keller, Tex.; daughter: Kimberlie and husband James Carver of Broken Arrow; grandchildren: Austin Black, Madeleine Black, Ainsley Black, and Camille Black; great granddaughter: Sybil Black; brother: Chuck and Mary Black of Ft Myers,Fla.; sister: Ann Burns of Dallas, Tex.
Visitation will begin at 8 a.m. Thursday with family present from 6 to 8 p.m.
Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Oct. 16 at the Broken Arrow First Baptist Church.
Committal Service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 16, at the Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of the Rogers Funeral Home.
