Jerry Dale Powders, a resident of Henryetta, died Oct. 28, 2020 in Muskogee at the age of 80. He was born July 5, 1940 in Salina. Jerry served in the National Guard and then the US Navy from 1957 to 1962. He was a charter member of IUOF Local 2B, the VFW and the American Legion.
He is preceded in death by his mother and step father: Leota and Hurshell Reed, infant son Beau and Troy Dale Powders, brother Kenneth Powders and wife; Ann Crandall.
He is survived by his son and wife Mark and Amber Powders of Henryetta; grandchildren: Brandon Powders of Henryetta, Ashley Powders and Matt Wheatcraft of Clearwater,FL, Jordan Powders and Josef Running of Tulsa, Amanda Powders and Chad Moffett, Tonya Powders of Henryetta, Brook Powders and Victor Mosco of Tulsa, Troy Ryan Powders of Kansas; great grandchildren: Liam Running and Adler Running, Zaelon Hare Kaeson Hare, and Abbigail Loftice; brother Billy Livingston and wife Linda of Henryetta; sisters: Debra Long of Henryetta and Barbara Condruff and husband Ted of Springfield, MO; wife Linda Powders of Henryetta; aunt; Bonnie Wishert of Wharton, Tex.; many nieces and nephews and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, Nov. 2, 2020 at the Westlawn Cemetery with Rev. Ryan Wells, officiating. Services are under the direction of the Rogers Funeral Home.
