Lois E. Ramsey, a former resident of Okmulgee, died June 5, 2021 in Henryetta at the age of 79. She was born Feb. 13, 1942 in Sacramento, Calif. to Lloyd Stevens and Olive (Brewer) Stevens.
Lois worked for many years as secretary at Wilson Public Schools. She was a faithful member of the Apostolic House of Prayer in Henryetta.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Olive Stevens; two sons, Tony Ramsey and Mike Ramsey; one grandson, Steven Ramsey; one brother, Clifton Clayton and two sisters, Alma Churchill and Debbie Wilson.
Lois is survived by three children: Sherill Medley and husband Danny of Fairland, Paula Larney and husband Richard of Henryetta and David Ramsey of Okmulgee; 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; Life-long friends, Thelma Souders and Cleo Swayze’ also by a host of nieces, nephews, friends, other relatives and her beloved church family.
Viewing for Lois will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday and 8 a.m. until noon on Tuesday.
Pallbearers will be, David Ramsey, Loren Sweet, Bobby Joe Swayze, Paul Souders, Charlie Grisham and Jimmy Arias. Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Larney, Danny Medley, Greg Hurst, Ryan Reyes, Job Ramsey, Jerrydon Ramsey and Michael Ramsey.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at Integrity Chapel with Rev. Darren Wainwright, Rev. Chester Cantrell and Rev. Scott Randall officiating. Interment will follow in Salt Creek Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
