James Kaler a former resident of Henryetta, died Aug. 28, 2021 in Sulphur at the age of 70. He was born Jan. 20, 1951 in Henryetta to Claude and Nancy (Albert) Kaler. James served in the US Army and a member of the Arbeka Indian Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters; Cindy Kaler and Dorothy “Dos” Basquez; brothers: Max and Danny Kaler; great grandparents Bertha Fisher, Wattie Albert, Florence Brown and Tom Kaler.
He is survived by his sisters: Barbara Fogle of Hanna, Mae Kaler of Hilo, HI, Janie Palen of Chelsea, Sarah Kaler of Henrytta, DeDe Parker of Henryetta and Tracy Shelton of Marland; many nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Sept. 3, 2021 at the Rogers Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at the Hanna Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Creek Nation Honor Guard. Services are under the direction of the Rogers Funeral Home.
