For the fourth consecutive month and eighth time this year, sales tax collections in Henryetta surpassed the previous year.
The November distribution of sales tax receipts to Henryetta amounted to $277,194. That was an increase of $27,931 from last year.
It was also the third largest sales tax check received by the town this calendar year. Two prior sales tax checks were just over $290,000.
Neighboring Dewar also had an increase in sales tax receipts. The November check this year was for $16,938. That was ahead of the $12,615 last year.
Henryetta’s use tax receipts also kept climbing. The town received $32,573 this year, a $6,556 increase from 2020.
Statewide, the November distribution amounted to $180,055,576, a $21,497,356 increase from a year ago.
