The chart above shows the total sales tax receipts for the city of Henryetta over the past five years.

 

A bit of Christmas good news came to the city of Henryetta this month.
For the fifth consecutive month the city sales tax showed an increase and that helped finish out the calendar year with a new record in collections.
The December sales tax return to the town amounted to $287,751. That was a $34,879 increase over last December anded the calendar year at $3,273,883.
At the time the sales tax was showing an increase, HenryEtta’s share of the use tax also set a new record. The town received $37,930 in use tax money in December, a drop of $6,209 from last year but finishes out the calendar year at $395,710, up $34,450 from the previous year.
Statewide, $181,366,976 in sales tax collections went back to cities and towns reflecting an increase of $26,718,165 from the $154,648,811 distributed in December last year.
The money is based on retail sales in October.
Around the area, those gains were also evident with only Eufaula showing a dip in collections from the previous year.
